COCKTAILS

DesertUSA’s Hot Honey amp; Bourbon Cocktail

2 oz bourbon whiskey 4 dashes bitters

1 tsp DesertUSA’s Hot Honey

Splash of club soda

4 bourbon soaked cherries for garnish

1 orange cut into slices for garnish

Muddle one orange slice, 2 cherries, hot honey and bitters, add ice and bourbon, shake until chilled. Strain into an ice filled glass. Garnish with remaining cherries and 1 orange slice.

DesertUSA’s Spicy Gin Sour Cocktail

2 oz dry gin

1 oz fresh lemon juice

½ oz DesertUSA’s Hot Honey

Add ingredients to cocktail shaker with ice, shake until chilled. Pour into a glass and garnish with a lemon twist (optional).

DesertUSA’s Spicy Paloma Cocktail

Serving: 1 Drink

2 oz tequila

2 oz fresh grapefruit juice

2 tbsp DesertUSA’s Hot Honey

2 oz fresh squeezed lime juice

Splash of club soda

1 jalapeno sliced for garnish

1 lime cut into wedges for garnish

Tajín seasoning (or make your own with sea salt, chile powder and lime zest or dehydrated lime)

Combine tequila, grapefruit juice, hot honey and lime juice into cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until chilled. Rim an empty glass with Tajín seasoning. Pour in mixture from the shaker, garnish with jalapeno slices and a lime wedge.

DesertUSA’s Hot Honey Toddy

Serving: 1 Drink

2 oz bourbon or whiskey

¼ oz DesertUSA’s Hot Honey

½ oz lemon juice

½ cup of hot water

1 cinnamon stick to garnish

Mix ingredients together in a mug and add a stick of cinnamon as a garnish.

OTHER RECIPES

Spicy-Lime Vinaigrette

Use as a salad dressing or as a marinade for grilling chicken or pork.

1 cup lime juice

½ cup of white vinegar

¼ cup DesertUSA’s Hot Honey

1 tbsp salt

1 ½ tbsp paprika ¼ tsp cayenne pepper

¼ cup diced shallots

2 tbsp Dijon mustard

2 cups of grapeseed oil

Hot Honey amp; Pecans on Baked Brie (Appetizer)

1 – 16 oz wheel of brie cheese

½ cup DesertUSA’s Hot Honey

1 cup pecans

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Place brie on cookie sheet in oven for 10 minutes.

In a sauce pan, combine hot honey and pecans over medium heat for approximately 5 minutes. Stir mixture until heated through.

Once brie is cooked, place on serving dish or tray and top with hot honey and pecans.

Serve with crackers or baguette. Great addition to a charcuterie board.

Spicy Feta Cheese Dip with Honey Sauce

7 oz feta cheese

3 ½ oz ricotta cheese

2 oz sour cream Salt and black pepper to taste

Spicy Honey Sauce

5 tbsp DesertUSA’s Hot Honey 1 tbsp olive oil 2 tbsp lemon juice

1 garlic clove peeled and minced salt and black pepper to taste

Blend the feta, ricotta and sour cream in a food processor or blender and add salt and pepper to taste. Place blended cheese mix into a serving bowl.

Heat the olive oil in a sauce pan and sauté garlic on low heat until soft. Turn off heat and add DesertUSA’s hot honey, lemon juice and salt and pepper to taste. Drizzle the hot honey sauce over the top of the whipped cheese and top with chives or sesame seeds.

Serve with pita chips, tortilla chips, baguette or raw veggies.

DesertUSA’s Sweet amp; Spicy Cream Cheese

8 oz package of cream cheese (at room temperature to blend)

1 garlic clove peeled and minced ¼ cup sour cream

¼ cup DesertUSA’s Hot Honey

In a food processor add all of the ingredients and blend. Salt to taste. Garnish top with chives (optional). Serve at room temperature with pita chips, potato chips, tortilla chips.

Tip: You can also use on bagels, as a sandwich spread or on burgers.

DesertUSA’s Spicy Orange Chicken (Meal)

Serves 2

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed into 1” pieces

2/3 cup of fresh squeezed orange juice

Juice of ½ lemon

1 tbsp rice vinegar (or white vinegar or apple cider vinegar)

¼ soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free dish)

¼ cup of DesertUSA’s Hot Honey

¼ tsp garlic powder (or 2 garlic cloves finely diced)

¼ tsp ginger powder (or ½ tsp freshly minced ginger) 1 -2 green onions to garnish

Ground black pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients except green onion into a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir as needed for approximately 20 minutes until the sauce reduces and the chicken is cooked through. (Chicken is cooked when it reaches an internal temperature of 165° Fahrenheit or 75° Celsius.) Garnish with sliced green onions.

Tip: Serve with steamed rice or cooked broccoli, asparagus or other veggies.
